Student-Made Humanoid Robot Won 3rd place in KRI Regional 4

Mechatronics Education Study Program students who are members of the Yogyakarta State University Robotics Team won third place in the Indonesian Football Robot Contest Division (KRSBI) Regional IV Humanoid at Malang State Polytechnic (01-03 / 05/2018). The winning team and a number of the best participating teams from the four regional contests will later be invited to take part in the 2018 KRI National Contest which will take place on 28 June - 01 July 2018 at ITS Surabaya. First Winner of the KRSBI-2018 Humanoid National contest itself will be appointed to represent Indonesia in the International ROBOCUP Robot Contest in Canada

KRSBI Humanoid itself refers to the KidSize RoboCup Soccer Humanoid League division. The theme of KRSBI 2018 is "Humanoid Robot Football League towards 2050". The contest rules are taken from the RoboCup Soccer Humanoid League Laws of the Game 2016/2017.

In a competition in Malang, UNY sent nine representatives, which were dominated by students of the Faculty of Engineering. Putri Wulandari, one of the team members, from the Mechatronics Engineering Education Department, revealed that her team's journey started from the group stage, semifinals to the final. "We brought 4 robots, so during the competition one robot acted as a kipper while the other as a defender and two other robots as attackers," said Putri.

"After the implementation of the competition in Malang, we have conducted several evaluations for future improvements and ask for prayers and support so that we are selected as regional representatives to advance to the national level," he hoped.
